I’m the poster who said horrified. That was a bit of hyperbole, but he was also clearly concerned about his looks and aging, in the way pp just described.
OP again of the horrified comment. Just wanted to add that this is one of those little things that makes Kevin such an endearing and surprisingly complex character. At the beginning of the series, he came off as shallow and vain, but then he has consistently surprised viewers with his humor, kindness, and depth. At that same time, he still is kind of vain. Most shows offer shallow characters such that they are either shallow and vain OR they are complex and less physically perfect. It is no accident that now in the 4th season, Kevin is the character who is still really enjoyable to watch. I loved Randall so much in the first season or two, but gosh he has gotten annoying.

I really hope you don't think you can tell whether someone is an abuser based on appearance.

My guess is her family goes to "rescue" her at the cabin, she and Marc have made up, she pushes her family away. At some point months/years later Marc threatens suicide if Kate doesn't do what he want, she doesn't do it, and he goes through with the suicide. This is why Kate cannot stand up for what she wants/needs/deserves in a relationship.
I think mark rapes her. That would explain her emotional trauma and eating disorder.
This is what I think.
I Agree it is not over. My bet is that he physically harms her, then kills himself and blames her (either in a note or he tells her before he does it).
I wish I didn’t agree, but I do. Assault with or without rape.
Producers say that Marc is gone from the story from now. Let’s hope, and we’ll see.
I think Kate is being a little harsh with Toby. He's entitled to his feelings too, and I imagine the reality of having a special needs baby is something that everyone handles differently. It's awesome to see Kate find her strength but Toby isn't there yet. Given his history of depression, it's not surprising either. She overreacted when he said he "wanted" to be that kind of husband and father, which seemed like an honest answer to me. And when he was excited about Jack seeing the lights and did a bunch of research, she was all over him about being realistic. He was pleading with her to let him have a little bit of hope for one night, and that wasn't ok with her. It just seems like she's trying to control everything as it relates to him.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Ok new theory on what’s behind Kevin saying “we aren’t talking to Randall” to his mom. His tone of voice plus tonight’s episode make me think that Randall does tell his siblings about rebeccas condition, and she is angry at Randall and refuses to talk to him. And she may not even remember why. This could also explain the 10 years into the future scene where Randall and Tess say they aren’t ready to see her.
Perhaps Rebecca got angry at Randall for telling the other kids. And she never lets go of that anger at Randall.
Good theory??
good theory, except the director keeps saying that something big will go down between R and K

Not a jerk, just human. He is incredibly handsome.
Original Justin Hartley poster here. IF my husband and I had a list of the five people you could have sex with without consequences, he'd definitely be on my list.

LOVED the last scene with Randall being awesome at golf all along. "Playing the game" like dad said!
Also loved Toby and Kate.
I hated that the hooked up with her. It cheapened their relationship. Especially when he knew her husband still loved her.

Haunting music at the end of the episode. So, now we need to figure out why they are all gathering at the new cabin?
We know why.
Are you new to this show??
DP. We don't actually know. Everybody is gathering for something to do with Rebecca but not much more.
Rebecca is dying! It’s the end of the show! Even the producers say that.
Uh, Ok. I just watch the show, not immersed to the point i know what the producers are saying.
If you WATCH the show, you should have seen the family gathering together in the cabin in the future with Rebecca literally on her deathbed at the end of last season.
What is the difference between reading articles on shows you like that interview the producers and participating in a 30+ page thread on DCUM? Maybe you’re more “immersed” than you think, cupcake. And why is there something wrong with that?
Whatever. Mandy Moore said Rebecca did not have Alzheimer’s. The producer vaguely denied anything would happen between with Kevin and Madison. The show likes to throw curveballs. I double checked and the finale left some doubt as to why they were gathering; the PP has a valid question.
Double-checked! How immersive!

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I think it’s funny that we’re all drooling over old Kevin when contemporary fictional Kevin is so vain and horrified about the idea of getting older!
I don’t think current Kevin has been horrified about getting older. He seems pretty focused on his current life.
Kevin took pains in a recent episode to point out he wasn’t yet 40. (The big 3 are 39.)
