No it doesn't help.  This talks about recruitment of elementary-aged kids....in Virginia! !!!

You apparently didn’t read the article, it talks mostly about MoCo - but interviews a gang task force person from NoVa.
It mentions the case of the 15 year old from MoCo who was found murdered in Springfield.[/quote]

2) The NOVA task force person makes it clear that the problem is also in Northern Virginia
3) The person implies that areas with high Latino populations are particularly vulnerable

My takeaway:  Latino families should be concerned about gang recruitment in predominantly Latino areas in the DMV area; everyone else, no.
