Not only did I not cancel the month long trip to Paris I’ve been planning for almost a year, I moved the date up 8 days because I freaked at the flight cancellation stories. 29 1/2 years in Federal service and this is my retirement trip. I’d rather be stuck in Paris than here. Flight is on time but wow the airport is desserted.
You’ll change your tune if you get sick overseas. Good luck finding your comfort foods over there.
It’s bloody France, not Tajikistan.
Yep and if you ever live overseas long enough - you'll learn that there's nothing like your country's cooking. It's also more expensive to buy food on the Euro, not to mention being hospitalized in a country whose language you don't speak is a bitch.
This exactly. I’ve been to France and many places in Europe. Fun to visit and relax, not fun if you get sick and hospitalized. And I’m sorry, I didn’t care for the food in France. I missed my American food. And if I was sick, I’d want good old chicken noodle soup, ginger ale, and Saltines. Not French onion soup or sparking water.
