Based on Princeton Review survey information, Bates and Hamilton are currently the NESCACs with the science facilities most highly regarded by their students: Best Colleges for Science Lab Facilities | The Princeton Review https://www.princetonreview.com/college-rankings/?rankings=best-science-lab-facilities
What percentage of kids at these colleges participate in PR's surveys? Without this info, these rankings are crap.
Bates: Hamilton: Both mediocre buildings and neither is known to rank well for LAC-> grad school science rankings…meanwhile, Bowdoin: These are just the buildings dedicated to biological and environmental science. Things are even better for Amherst and Williams. I don’t know why anyone would think Hamilton or bates is in discussion.
Wow--you're a genius because you can tell the quality of the science infrastructure and instruction being provided to students by looking at the outside of the building. /s
From these photos, Bowdoin doesn’t look particularly impressive. Buildings are nothing special.
Those are nice science facilities for an LAC, maybe you just aren't into them, but my R1 institution would love to have buildings like these.
