Oh as a former facilitator, it’s because those kids that fail self directed are lazy and just put it off. But what happens is they just get transferred to school year session after not finishing summer version and basically get another 9 months. I hated that we did that but then parents would be like but it’s not Jenny’s fault even though you emailed me every week, every day for the last two weeks, called me every day for the last week of the course.

When kids failed with me, it was on them and parents, I was pretty hands off until the last two weeks. If you were not on pace, I was emailing the same message every freaking day. Always ended email with “if you want these emails to stop, finish the course!”

Every parent I called or emailed always appreciated how much notice they were getting from me. There kid failing they would tell me was on their kid (which I agreed because I knew that parent was reminding their kid)[/quote]
