Nationals shot themselves in the foot. Now they are just a middle of the pack club in a stacked conference. Before, their matches against Lou Fusz, NEFC, TopHat, CUP et al used to attract 100+ colleges. Now they might not even see the ecnl playoffs in some age groups…
Are you arguing that nationals players will get less exposure in ECNL than they did in GA?
They will get the same exposure… Only difference is that now they won’t be adding anymore trophies to their resume. As long as Michigan Hawks stay in ecnl.
The Nationals actually bring the Hawks a healthy bit of competition in SE Michigan that's good for soccer in the state. The Hawks have leveraged their own history to a big recruiting advantage in Michigan and until recently -- a few other clubs also have been added -- were the only pathway for ECNL (Might be just a rumor but the scuttlebutt was they supposedly fought tooth and nail these expansions to keep this edge).
This is happening all over the country. Founding ecnl clubs do whatever it takes to prevent certain clubs from joining ECNL. Fc Stars has long fought to keep NEFC away..
