OSSE is paying for 75 special students to attend Kingsbury now (vast majority were from DCPS; about 18 from various charters). That means the city has an interest in what happens with that school/facility. So while this isn't a DCPS facility, the State Superintendent and DME are stakeholders in a way that they wouldn't be otherwise. I can't figure out why the Board is even considering doing this now. They are going through a management review, and a board review. It's likely there will be Board turnover, and they may be turnover in the administration.
