I know that someone on here called her cookbook a labor of love but I just don't see it that way. It seems like the project she invested in least personally and was a bit of a money grab. When I think of food and recipes, I definitely don't think Jen Hatmaker. I associate her with eating chips and dip and meat and cheese and would assume that's what the entirety of her book would be. How many dips can you make to dip chips? Or gross Super Bowl food. She doesn't seem to have a sophisticated palate.
Yep, money grab. No one makes a huge amount of money on a cookbook unless they’re a famous chef or maybe a celebrity. Which Jen definitely is not. I think the plan was always to sell the cookbook, and then rake in the big bucks with the book tour.
