Another day in Zelensky’s pointless war.
Zelensky is fighting to keep his people from being murdered, raped, tortured. At least those that can fight back are given that chance with weapons; and these are people who would fight not to live under Russian rule. But as bad as the War is, take heart that the Russians are paying the price for their aggression. Seems that even North Korea is distancing itself from Putin? "Finally, I attended a marine mammal show at the Primorsky Oceanarium." https://www.yahoo.com/news/russians-report-drone-attacks-crimea-110900983.html "Video posted on Telegram by the Russian Natural Resources Minister Alexander Kozlov showed Kozlov, Moscow's ambassador to North Korea, Alexander Matsegora, and governor of Russia's far eastern Primorsky region, Oleg Kozhemyako, seeing off the North Korean leader at the end of his week-long visit." https://www.yahoo.com/news/north-koreas-kim-heads-home-132555290.html The highest-level Russian blowing kisses was the Natural Resources Minister. This looks like a 'don't-let-the-door-hit-you-on-the-way-out' video. "Russians tried to prioritize the elimination of traitors who refused to fight til the end." [2:40 / 4:35] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6_kApQ6WsQ Makes sense this is happening more and more. Klishchiivka will help cut off M03 from Russian ground traffic: https://www.yahoo.com/news/ukraines-armed-forces-explain-significance-202207453.html "In total, at least five regiments of Russian Airborne Forces from the 7th and 76th divisions are now likely to be concentrated a few kilometres from the front line village of Robotyne." "this group should have about 10,000 elite paratroopers at full strength. However, almost all these units are likely faced with a significant lack of personnel." https://www.yahoo.com/news/russia-deploys-elite-paratroopers-large-070759652.html "some of the best and most well-trained units of the Russian army have been defeated and lost combat effectiveness on the Bakhmut front: among them are the 72nd Separate Motorised Rifle Brigade, the 31st and the 83rd separate air assault brigades" https://www.yahoo.com/news/russians-lost-best-units-bakhmut-132840081.html The Russians also figured out just how important M14 is to tens of thousands of Russian troops in Sevastopol. But it may all be too-little-too-late. "Republican senators demand that Biden immediately hand over ATACMS missiles to Ukraine" "In particular, the longer-range unitary warhead variant of ATACMS should be sent without delay." https://www.yahoo.com/news/republican-senators-demand-biden-immediately-044146003.html The Ukrainians just need to remember to take out as many AA radars as possible (or at least exhaust the AA missiles so they can hit targets while AA is reloading) to make best use of them. That's what cheap drones can do best - ferret out AA while looking for Targets-of-Opportunity. Once they locate AA, then a HARM missile would work. Russian AA only has to 'go blind' a short time for ATACMS to be 100% effective, so I hope Ukraine gets a shipment of F-16's and HARM missiles at the same time. I still think A-10's and Vulcan's would help neutralize Russian front-line ground defenses. Old school, but effective. My guess is that once Crimea has been cut off logistically, the Kremlin will be under heavy internal political pressure to withdraw. My guess is that many, many sons of important public officials, party members, FSB officers, high-ranking military are stationed there. They were probably assured by Kremlin officials that it was 'safe' and that Ukraine would never put them in danger there.
