Yes, but the "voting block" from the previous committee remained the same, and the now more "inclusive" committee was easily outvoted and their opinions became part of what was charmingly called Minority Reports. The school and members of the previous committee voted basically the same outcome, with the exception of Rosemary Hills-Lyttonsville Park, which was not going to be available for a series of reasons. There was very little expectation that the outcome would not be Rock Creek Hills Park, the only real wild card was the alternate/second place slot, which became North Chevy Chase Park, which frankly was never and is still not an option given that it has no reclaim clause and Parks would not want to set a precedent by allowing another agency to take its property. So, they really are stuck with RCH Park and if for some reason that falls through...well, there really is no other option, because due to the hornets nest, Lynnbrook is a "non-starter" as a BOE member said.
I don't think you were on the site selection committee. I was. Again, as I've said for like the fifth time in this thread, just because the second committee came up with a solution you don't like, DOES NOT MEAN that it was corrupt, rigged, exclusive, a "hornet's nest" or any other bullshit you want to spew. RCH was the first choice, NCC was the second choice, and unless a sinkhole opens up and swallows RCH Park, leaving a hole all the way to the earth's mantle, that will be the site. The litigation is going nowhere.
