He’s a comedian and talk show host and he’s said nothing more outrageous than anything Fox “News” says on an hourly basis.  Why do you hold comedians to higher standards than your newscasters?

What a dumb argument. First, Kimmel's comment is in no way equivalent. (Quote below--show me the lie or the call for death)
Two, there is no way that Kimmel's ratings and audience would be affected by such a benign comment. No. Possible. Way.
So it isn't ratings, and it's not lies, so what is it really? Oh wait--it is the FCC threatening their license and their merger.

What got him fired was blaming it on MAGA and doubling down on the kid being MAGA.  The problem is that there was plenty of indication by Monday that this was anti-MAGA.

WHere did he blame it on MAGA? Please be clear--he described the behavior over the weekend. Show me the part of the quote above where he says what you claim.
