Dennis must have had connections with the Maret board. Other people mentioned how there were two stellar candidates who did not get the job. This is especially true in DC that WHO you know is much more important than WHAT you know. Before joining Maret in Fall 2023, he will have been interim HoS at three different schools not to include Whittle. He must be very well connected that he is lucky to be HoS at that many schools in a short period of time with a smooth transition between places. We were at Whittle and he abruptly left for a different interim HoS position after one month into year 2 at Whittle. He might stay around longer at Maret because it is an established school in DC. But who knows? [/quote]
