Check out the paint on the knob of the stairway railing, for example. Or the paint on the stair treads. Maybe it's actually quality paint indifferently applied, but I'm fairly confident in my belief that whoever slathered paint on nearly every available surface didn't spring for the good stuff.[/quote]
