I hope that's right because we have exactly the same house a block away! (Minus the brand new kitchen.)
What do we think about the old floors? We have the same ones, and I hate them with a passion. But I hear they sell.
We have original heart pine floors and like them; they add a lot of character... But it did take some getting used to. It was much better after we invested in some new rugs and placed them strategically.

That's pretty nice. I think it may go for close to $1.1 million if the market is still anywhere near as hot as it was in August.
I certainly can't complain about insufficient venting over the stove!

I'll share my secret—then, you, too, can make big money looking closely at real estate listings on the internet!
The virtual tour lets you zoom in, and it has a pretty high level of detail. Check out the paint on the knob of the stairway railing, for example. Or the paint on the stair treads. Maybe it's actually quality paint indifferently applied, but I'm fairly confident in my belief that whoever slathered paint on nearly every available surface didn't spring for the good stuff.

It does look nice, if a little overdone. I think the photographer isn’t as skilled as we’re seeing to. The ceilings look high enough but the photos are off.
That’s supposed to be “as we’re used to seeing.”

I would much MUCH rather have everything painted white than the taupe and gray that's been trendy for a while. Blank slate, goes with literally any decor, and basically already primed and ready to go if I want to change the paint color.

Don;t like this one at all. I have a bunch of things I hate t see in DC rowhomes and this one has a bunch of them.
1. All white. They destroyed the character of any exposed brick or original woodwork.
2. See through kitchen cabinets

1. Did they paint the brick? If not, what does wall color have to do with the fact that you like brick. Also, paint is cheap and easy. Don't be one of those people who says they won't buy a house because you don't like the paint color. That's crazy talk.
2. Agree. And the color is pretty bad as well. Very contractor grade from a different era.
3. Agree. Plus it isn't full sized and makes me wonder why. Does a full size not fit?

OK, you don't like white paint. That's a personal aesthetic choice and your god given right. But your eyes must be much better than mine if you can see the quality of the paint in RE listing pictures. You should find a way to monetize that genius visual acuity!

I hope it goes for this much - it is pretty much my house with the exception of being completely covered in white paint! I think that is high for the location - very busy street.

The inside is blah—except for tthe kitchen tile, which I love. Alas, that's about the only thing I love about that kitchen. Still, in that location around the corner and a block from the senate office buildings, someone's going to snap that up quickly.
FYI -- 312 3rd NE is on it's second listing agent. It was re-listed as new but total days on the market is 24. Honestly, that is a big number for a small house with a not-so-great floor-plan. Love the garage though. And basement/cellar.
