DP.  BOTH were paid for.  US DoD paid for a bunch of terminals and service for Ukraine, and many volunteer groups also purchased terminals and service for Ukraine.

And weirdo, dishonest Elon also ran around pretending he gave them for free and that Ukraine was being a bunch of ungrateful a-holes when he cut off service to them, also claimed he wasn't making any money off of the terminals in Ukraine, all of which was completely false.[/quote]
