Remember all the states Obama won in 08 - Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Florida, NC... He governed as a moderate but he was not viewed as one in the campaign. It's about someone who gets others excited. Money, specifically very wealthy mega-donors, didn't have firm control of our political sysncetem 15 years ago. An AOC type has zero chance of advancing to party leadership positions in a political climate ruled by rich people who detest close the wealth divide policies. That fact sucks but that's where we are now in 2026[/quote]

I’m 01:14 — this is a salient point. Also, it can also read as if they take away rich people’s money, what will they do to my two nickels I rub together in my own pocket. It’s ugly either way. I want to be hopeful, but I don’t have any sense that anyone is actually looking out for the little guy. MAGA is overt about taking our freedom, and the Dems are stealthy about it. It’s just two similar but different ways of manipulating and controlling us. I hope a true noblesse oblige candidate emerges. [/quote]
