This is why she released all the Taylor’s versions. Not all artists are teenagers when they sign their first contracts and may have gotten more property rights over their own music. Some artists don’t need to devalue their originals, as they are allowed to continue making money in a significant way. Taylor obviously count, and it was right to call that out. She also had huge influence at that time in the industry as a whole, so there wasn’t a lot of punishment that could be pressed against her. Not so with smaller artists who are suffering the same kind of contracts. [/quote]
