What do we think about this one listed yesterday? 4br, 2.5ba, 1800+ sq ft for $860k. End unit, looks pretty spacious, nice porch and patio. One of the quieter blocks in the neighborhood. No parking though. https://www.redfin.com/DC/Washington/935-5th-St-NE-20002/home/9896557
One of my pet peeves is stovetops without a hood. They look ridiculous and I would never buy a house that did not have a hood.
This is a good point and not something I would have thought about when flipping through the photos. We use our hood a lot because we cook almost every night. I wonder how expensive/hard it would be to put one in? It's annoying that the stovetop is on the island for that reason (and also because I think it would mean the island would be very messy all the time. Otherwise, though, I really like this one. It's close to one of my favorite playgrounds in the neighborhood and I like these quiet blocks between K and H near the Whole Foods -- they have a nice urban neighborhood feel and really are convenient to everything. Also, it's so big! I don't mind the tiny back patio because there is so much living space inside, plus the front porch and yard. Compared to my little 1100 sq ft house, this feels palatial, and for well under $1m.
