Honestly I am not sure Town would be thrilled to have you exmit after PreK since they go through 8th and that’s where their exmissions is focused.

Trinity is extraordinarily difficult to get in to for K. They take so many siblings and legacies. I think this year they had about 10 open spots for unconnected families.

I would pick IPS.  Montclare has a decent number of siblings and legacies for Dalton Trinity Collegiate. Maybe room for 1-2 new families to go to those schools.

Is it better to choose a school (either IPS or Montclare) with exmissions to top-tier private for kindergarten and see which private school works out at K application?

Or is or better to start at Town and continue at Town, and do exmissions after elementary / middle school?

My spouse is okay with doing Town for nursery all the way to elementary/middle school. And do exmissions later on. For me personally, I would prefer top-tier private coed or all-boys for kindergarten and onwards.

What would you advise on this situation?
