Pretty funny actually. Thanks for proving that there has never been any proof of cheating… even since the beginning.
 TJ students explained how it all went down. Do you think a bunch of them are lying?
Link to a story or account of the cheating. No one thinks that kids are lying. We all think you're the one lying, since you keep asserting that things happened without providing any proof. Yeah, I know you'll just insist that there are numerous links in the thread. Or you'll post something that proves that rich kids are doing test prep or something. You claim there's proof. Post it right here and now. Indicate exactly where they specifically talk about cheating.
You are confusing posters. I never said “cheating”. Affluent families pushed their kids to do test prep - using actual test answers that were unethically obtained and shared (breaking NDA). All of the parents’ efforts trying to cheat the system were one of the reasons why they changed the admissions process.
You still haven't provided any proof of anything. Please cite a news article or something reputable showing that actual test answers were used and NDAs were broken. Likewise, please cite something showing that cheating was a reason that they changed the admissions process. I have read things indicating that the school board was afraid that affluence lead to an unfair advantage, but I haven't read anything specifically about cheating.
You are clearly not reading any of my posts. I’ve posted much of this. Go back and re-read the current threads. You’re too lazy to read all of the million old threads covering this and too lazy to read recent posts. And yet you continue to whine about “proof”. Seems like you’re just being oppositional at this point.
People posting stuff on a message board does not equal proof. You can't keep citing anonymous posts on dcum as proof of anything. You still haven't anywhere posted an actual news article from a reputable source directly stating any of the things you've claimed. Once again, post right here. If you can't post a link to a real news article corroborating anything you've claimed, then you are de facto admitting that the proof does not exist.
I haven’t “claimed” anything about news articles. “I’m too lazy to read the old threads so none of that ever happened.”
Old threads = lots of randos saying stuff that hasn't been vetted. I mean, by your logic, the same person posting the same thing over and over somehow equals proof of something.
If you want links there are links.
It doesn't matter how many links are posted the C4TJ set will ignore it and continue to gaslight.
Well, right now, the number of links posted that are germane to the topic and not just links to discussions on dcum or other anonymous boards is zero. No real links have been posted. None. You're the one gaslighting by insisting that links are being provided when there are no links.
There were at least 3 separate links I saw in the past day, including TJ's student paper, WaPo, and one more that discussed this issue. Not sure why you are ignoring these.
Oh. I get it now. The problem is that you're functionally illiterate. The TJ student paper was about cheating on midterms within TJ. Not at all germane to the discussion and not addressing Quant-Q cheating. Another few links were people saying that they were concerned that test prep writ large conferred an unfair advantage. Again, the link was not at all germane. I'll give you a hint. You can't just post random links not about the topic at hand and claim them as proof.
Cheating at TJ was rampant before the changes to the selection process.
New poster here, define cheating. Somehow the word is thrown around and lost its meaning. Prep for a test using past year's questions is not cheating. That's called studying.
Not when test takers signed an NDA stating that they would not disclose questions from the test and the company that makes the test does not reveal questions to outsiders and markets the test as one that can’t be prepped.
The NDA I've seen are between quant-q and the school system using the test (client). The students never signed any NDA. prove me wrong.
3. QUANT-Q DOESN’T RELEASE MATERIALS The company that offers Quant-Q intentionally does NOT release materials to the public - it’s very different than SAT, ACT, etc. They want to “measure your natural ability”. And test takers agreed to not share any parts of the test. https://www.washingtonian.com/2017/04/26/is-the-no-1-high-school-in-america-thomas-jefferson-fairfax-discrimination/ “The firm that markets the math portion of the test, Quant-Q, doesn’t release materials to the public, a practice that should make them harder for test-prep schools to crack.” Based on the NDAs, any test prep books or companies that obtain and share example quant-q test questions may have been unethically, or even potentially illegally, produced. https://insightassessment.com/policies/ “Test Taker Interface User Agreement In this agreement, each person who accesses this interface is called a “user,” and whatever a user accesses is called an “instrument.” Copyright Protected: The user acknowledges that this online interface and everything in it are proprietary business property of the California Academic Press LLC and are protected by international copyrights.
