I'm not a repub, but I attended school here and see the elementary programs in particular becoming very poor. Most of the people I know who are repubs have taken their kids out of the school system actually, so in actuality I think the community as a whole is more conservative than the average FCPS parent.[/quote]
Is this a function of the SB or changing demographics? I think you guys are giving the SB way too much power re what it actually can do/decisions it makes. Republican or not-the increasing proportion of ESL students, the weak ES curriculum, etc-won’t change.  [/quote]

The school board doesn't have to oversee weakening the curriculum.  Clearly they can't control the education, stability and preparedness level of students entering the system but they do not have to lower standards.[/quote]
