For the DA, clubs are required to give starts to non-starter at showcases. They are required to give starts to non-starter 25% of the time over all. So DA clubs, boys and girls, look for showcases and friendlies other than official DA events as a way to give more time to non-starter. And the DA league actively encourages this. For the ECNL, you are right, but good clubs still give time to non-starter at showcases because they want to get all their players recruited, not just the starting 11. [/quote]
