When people have so much hatred for someone they don’t even know or even watch play tennis regularly then there is something else going on.  Athletes go off on umpires all the time and nobody pays attention.

yes, a lot of people commenting on this even never watch tennis. but most of them are cluelessly supporting serena doing nobody a favor. serena had a tantrum and it would not have been a big deal if a bunch of idiots didn't try to make her a hero because of it. that is what is drawing the reaction, not her calling an umpire a thief (which, to reiterate, on its own wouldn't even carry a point penalty).[/quote]
