Cruising is so much fun for the while family. We vacation a lot. We go to Cayman twice a year,Europe, ski vacations....cruising is one of the best vacations.
Why would I want to stay in a smaller-than-normal room, take days to get somewhere, eat bad food, and only have access to cheesy entertainment when I could just fly there and stay somewhere nice?
The Disney cabins are larger, you can select an itinerary that stops at a new port each day (meaning a new country, new beach or town, and new excursion), you can go the entire cruise without eating at a buffet if you prefer a full service restaurant (and your servers follow you from restaurant to restaurant each night on Disney), the food ranges from fine to excellent (I never had a bad meal), and the Broadway style shows on Disney cruises are excellent (and truly magical for kids). We fly places, too, but we've discovered that Disney cruises are actually pretty great for families with kids since you have so many options and can entertain everyone. And we tend to get bored at resorts after a few days.
