I have no faith whatsoever in DCPS delivering a quality MS. If they were good at it, then BM wouldn't still be twisting in the wind. That said, I think DCI would be stronger if they hadn't been forced to include DC Bi. The good feeders were always going to be YY, LAMB, and MV. Probably Stokes too, eventually. Still, the opportunity to get an IB Diploma is something that DCPS cannot and will not ever take on in a serious fashion.
What do you mean by "forced to include DCB"? How were they forced in your view?
Because DCB has poors. Is that what you are trying to say PP? You should be embarrassed.
Why? Do you think private school parents are embarrassed? Do you think WOTP parents who buy those ugly little post-WWII houses are embarrassed? Everybody wants to avoid exposing their precious children to undesirable influences. What hurdle of hypocrisy do you have to overcome to be okay with paying for the wealthy (such as our current President) to avoid exposing his children to public schools, and then resenting your fellow citizens for wanting to do the same? Nobody wants to be around criminals and idiots. Not being born wealthy, most people will try to avoid allowing their children to be exposed to elements of criminality. That doesn't make anyone racist, prejudiced, or mean, or cruel. IT MAKES THEM GOOD PARENTS.
You're actually saying that kids at and from DC Bilingual are criminals? Or idiots?
I'm saying parents can't be blamed for preferring a more exclusive environment when possible. Ask the President.
