Yup - similar thing happened at my son's school a few years ago and now the PTA clique is frustrated that no one else will step up and doesn't seem to get that it's because of how many of the parents were treated when we initially tried to volunteer.    My daughter just started at a different school and it's been an amazing experience to be welcomed and given options on how and when and how much to volunteer. [/quote]

Our PTA now has to pay for things to get done around the school because people aren't volunteering.  Yet, they put out sign up lists and I did several and never got a call.  Needless to say, no more donations from our family.  What a waste of money to do things like hire a gardner.[/quote]
