Thanks already done.  Most states require registration.  Permits for if you have kids?  Sorry, don't want more federal intrusion into my home[/quote]

I would add a requirement that gun owners have a special decal that they must place on their homes and vehicles so the rest of us can know. If personal protection is the basis of your need, you should be happy to let all the criminals in your life know that you're packing heat. And those of us who want to steer clear of guns know who to avoid. [/quote]

Or, we could do the reverse.... require those who choose not to have guns in their house put a decal on their home that says, “Gun free zone.”
How do you think that would go over?  Which homes do you believe criminals WITH guns will target?  [/quote]
