I don't think that's "out of touch."   Most people in sf are aware it's expensive and that rent and home prices are extremely high.  [b]There are also plenty of homeless people there[/b].  I would say someplace like aspen or la jolla is truly out of touch.  [/quote]

No.  If you're walking past homeless people multiple times a day you aren't living somewhere that's out of touch.  There are many homeless people and poverty in this country and living in sf will remind you of this daily. [/quote]
