The ONLY Academy of Pediatrics of the first world countries. I wonder why? Yes, it helps in prevention of urinary tract infection, penile cancer, and transmission of STDs. Well, infant girls are 10 times more likely to suffer from UTIs (because female urethras are shorter than male ones and they are more skin folds), but no one suggest routine circumcision of infant females. Also, penile cancer is very very rare (fewer than 20,000 cases in the U.S. per year) but so is breast cancer in males, but, again, no one is suggesting routine removal of male breasts to prevent breast cancer. And we all know how you can prevent STDs. [/quote]
