Yes, to some degree... but there's more to it than that.  WSHS is clearly not as wealthy as Langley or McLean or Madison or Oakton for that matter.  So as far as SOLs and GS ratings go, WSHS is apparently batting above expectations.  To that end, I'd say LHS, McL, and the like are batting a little below expectations.  I wonder if maybe the teachers/students at the higher SES schools didn't have kids re-take the SOLs as they were allowed to do this past year.  Maybe WSHS and others benefitted from re-takes.  ????  Just a theory.

As for Chantilly -- it's interesting b/c they have a strangely low participation rate for AP classes for white kids.  I suspect that the academy classes may be drawing some in that population away from AP and more toward the skills based classes, be it pre-dental/med or comp sci.
