These are expensive stores, but tweens are very label conscious (even if the label does not show) Zara is much more on point than macys. Macys has a sort of cheap/ slutty look. You might be better off with fewer but higher quality than tons of cheap clothes from macys/ old navy. Dark skinny jeans are a base. Hollister and Abercrombie are going out, but they still have higher quality/ cheaper clothes due to sales. I would put a significant amount aside for a weekend after school starts (but what you want might be sold out)
