I have had pretty bad bruising in different areas of my body, some unexpected, from cross fit, Parkour and yoga. I have had all the bruises she describes from crossfir and boot camps. Yoga has bruised almost every part of my body at some point, but not my knuckles. It sounds to me as if she is really trying hard to get back in shape after having an incredible number of kids in a short time, so she has a personal trainer who is doing a boot camp class that he claims will make her better at a triathlon. It is likely 1-2 hours of strength work, a run, a bike ride and a swim, which would take a long time and be consistent with her injuries.
I get all of this. This is why I didn't think much it at first. After the last two weeks, with the bruise marks and bruised/swollen knuckles, and now cheekbone--thats what set me off. Prior weeks, bruising was still there, but not as pronounced.
The other thing was (and still not totally) informed on Tuff Mudder/Warrior Dash or these other apparently extreme forms of working out. I was basing my concerns off of what I know about triathlons. Something more extreme would explain some of it, but I guess I'm still stuck on the knuckles. Are there ANY of these extreme workouts that involve punching something? Walking on your knuckles?
