I don't have a current script for Xanax, but a year ago my pdoc prescribed 2 to get me through court. Long story. I'm sure that some pdocs get how hard it is make it through the mandatory fun of family holidays with relatives who are determined to push every button. Plus, they want to enjoy the long holiday weekend themselves and not have dozens of calls for emergency appointments.[/quote]

I'm already treated for depression and anxiety problems so it's pretty easy. Sometimes I NEED them to prevent a panic attack or to function normally in a high stress situation (i.e. public appearance, flying for first time with baby) and sometimes I just do better when I have them (dealing with family around holidays). I also take them to put up with DH sometimes, but that's another thread.[/quote]
