Parents should be better at expressing themselves as well, but we all know how that works in real life.  Even if teacher said, "you're being annoying!"  there is nothing inappropriate about that if she was stating the facts.  perhaps girl who doesn't want to be called annoying in the future won't behave that way.[/quote]

Something for all parents to realize. Teachers make a thousand split seconds decisions in a day. From choosing which kid with hand in air to answer a question, to identifying misbehavior in classroom and applying classroom consequences. Think about your own home and all the split second decisions we make at home. Now multiple that into a classroom of 25 kids. Unless something is really egregious, parents can help their children by talking through the day and trying to understand the big picture and learn to be problem solvers, not blamers. Don't mean to sound preachy. Parenting is the hardest job and sometimes we goof. It takes a village, so support your teachers. [/quote]
