We're not talking about a "10".  We're talking about normal people.  There really isn't much of a reason why a desirable man would marry a woman 4-5 years older.  Why can't he get someone his age to a few years younger, like most men?

I'll treat this as a serious post (amazingly).  The average man marries a woman two years younger.  That would be a "normal" difference.  So the average 30 year old man marries a 28 year old.  Compare that to a 35 year old.  The 35 year old has, on average, lost much more of her looks, has much lower fertility, many more sexual partners.  He'd have to rush having kids instead of enjoying a few years with an age appropriate partner.

This is like having to argue why women with options prefer doctors to janitors.[/quote]
