That's why I use the voice of doom when needed. And based on my long experience with her, I think it's highly unlikely I would need to hit her. I mean, the point raised was how I would stay in control with my kid in harm's way and my adrenaline up and I think it's entirely possible that I would act like an asshole but still not likely I would hit her. I think it's easier with girls as they generally are less likely to engage in life threatening illegal activities.  As I said, I think we'd all like to think we'd do the right thing as parents, but I'm not naive enough to think that I wouldn't act like that mom.  You have no idea what you are capable of in extreme situations.[/quote]

Her daughter will eventually get in a car with a drunk, drink herself sillly and her boyfriend will possibly beat her in college, but mommy will have her mean face on... so she will immediately stop. [/quote]
