But I think what most everyone else is saying is probably right, too. The medical association won't sanction her (again, unless your husband was her patient) and most of her patients probably won't even know it happened unless you live in a very small community. She will likely lose some respect once the affair is public, but it'll be the same way your husband (whatever his profession) and a washing-machine salesperson would - individual people in her life who will not be able to condone her actions will lose respect for/change their opinion of her. There's nothing you can really do to 'publicly shame' her without a) making you look crazy and b) hindering your own recovery from this. I don't think a revenge fantasy or two occasionally is the end of the world, but it can't be something you actively focus on long-term, as it won't really get you anywhere. [/quote]
