Team OP.[/quote] Are you OP, perchance? Or just financially clueless and inexperienced with Alzheimer's? OP has no idea how much nursing homes cost. Her mother may not have the resources for it, since they are horribly expensive. Then there is guilt and emotion involved in letting go of a loved one to a home. OP's mother is not perfect, she has her hang-ups. It doesn't mean OP has the right to whine about not getting the royal treatment from an elderly lady struggling to care for her ailing spouse and host a party at the same time. [/quote]
