I care.  For my close friends, their kids are very important to me and I'm proud of their accomplishments.  I love reading about where they've been accepted.  I also like knowing where they were not accepted so I don't insert my foot in my mouth the next time I see them.  To me, this is the end game that everyone works hard to get to-- parents and students should be proud of what they've done and where they're going.  [/quote]

Well-- I'm usually friends with my friends and not their kids.  In order for me to know where the kids have been accepted, they have to post.  So in that case, you'd consider my friends boasting about their kids accomplishments.[/quote]
