From what I've read, it sounds like they tried really hard to accommodate the parent by even bringing in an outside specialist to test the kid. I think the selection is definitely not what we are used to in that it's not soley based on whether a kid can do higher math problems, because in all honesty, a kid can do higher math problems by learning them rote.
