Class sizes are small, (because of the huge drop out rate, but according to her the kids that are there are smart, committed and really want to learn) and the staff is mostly made up of well educated TFA types from Harvard, Duke, Berkeley, etc. These teachers for the most part produce their own innovative curriculum and materials and often take kids of field trips. A similar description to what you might get at a 30k a year private. ...just sayin.[/quote]
