I would second Potomac /N. Potomac (20878) / Rockville (20850) area - like Wootton HS boundaries
It's relatively close to ICC, not to bad to go to VA
DH used to work in Arlington (Courthouse) & Old Town Alexandria- ~30-45 min commute depends on the traffic
Commute to Baltimore is also not extremely bad
Great schools, plenty of good childcare around, $600-700K might get you nice SFH

People recommending Potomac/ Rockville must not have a map.  You want to stay close in near Rt 29 in Silver Spring.  Almost equal commute.  Lots to buy for 600-700K.  Rent for a year before deciding. [/quote]

No 495 here.  DH works in dc and ballston. Either metro or thru city commute. Rt 29 corridor is the way to go, as close to downtown silver spring as budget allows.[/quote]
