Temporary blip. once librarians ramp up to nw technology and technique they can be even more valuable in sifting through the endless mountains of data effectively. (web, lexis nexus, journal libraries, government open data, etc). [/quote]

Librarian here. Yes, I am beginning to feel like a dinosaur but we are still needed. Keeping up with technology is key. However, I get by but I am not nearly as interested in technology as I should be. Lots of librarians retiring. Just a matter of whether or not they will be replaced with MLS librarians or support staff. [/quote]
