Strangely some people seem to their anxiety is more harmful to the baby than repeated multiple times a week exposure to the Doppler.
PP here. It may actually be that they're not incorrect. But, if they have that much anxiety with no signs of trouble, the doppler is a bandaid covering up a major issue they need to work on. And my guess is it isn't reducing the anxiety by that much to make a huge difference. Again, hate to keep picking on the one poster, but if you literally cannot sleep, suffer insomnia and high blood pressure because you're stressing over a symptomless possible miscarriage you need help putting things in perspective. Parenthood is much more frightening than this. Also, I think some PP's are mistakenly thinking that a poster upthread is arguing in favor of doppler with the "what if you don't feel movement" question. I think that was a person concerned about the Doppler posing the question - along the lines of- if you think things are stressful now, there's more stress ahead, and you should NOT resolve that stress with the doppler. That was my take, anyway.
