The thing here, and bear with me, is NPS is connected to the National Presbyterian Church. You can like pronouns all you want, but the church with which NPS shares building and funding teaches on Sunday there are two, God assigned genders. It’s not crazy to expect the school to do the same the HOS to knock this shit off.

Very happy liberal NPS family here. Kids have thrived, and grateful for the amazing faculty and staff that make my children feel known and supported.
First time heard NPS being liberal. As is well known in DC, NW is NOT as liberal as some of the other schools.
Noone said NPS was liberal. Our family is. Two different things.
Ours too! NPS is much less conservative than it used to be, imo. It tends to be very neutral in most areas, for better or for worse. I have found most families to be warm and welcoming. You’ll find pockets of less down to earth folks, but hey—it’s a private school in DC :)
NPS is swinging toward woke. Now they include a land acknowledgement in their all school assemblies -- a wasted minute, at best, since they study the settlement of north America in their social studies classes. And the head of school has begun to sign his messages with "he/him". Just when woke is becoming passé. When we first visited the school several years ago we heard a classroom of first graders singing "It's A Grand Old Flag".
Oh no, you read pronouns!! Don’t worry, you can still sing patriotic songs around the piano at home in your silk flag pajamas.
