Maybe if you are in Atlanta but not in the rest of the world. Emory doesn't have more recognition than the top SLACs. Neither group has much recognition with the general public. That is fine and to be expected since since school knowledge for the vast majority of the public comes from watching sports. Both Emory and Williams are great schools; this thread is one of the most inane threads that I have read in a long time.[/quote]

Internationally, only universities are well known.  It’s insane to think any SLAC is known in the “rest of the world”.  Not saying Emory is well known either, but you aren’t helping the discussion.
