Williams is #14th in per capita placement, and Emory is #22nd, with is indistinguishable IMO
The list you posted is outdated I beileve.

Emory is 17, Williams 25.

I don’t agree at all. Maybe if you’re knee deep in Boston, but everywhere else would know much more of Emory. It’s really only in the minds of DCUM that these niche lacs are uber prestigious.
emory is mid and not that well known

Irrespective of perception, Williams ranks well when viewed objectively. This site, for example, placed it a rarefied 8th nationally when considered among colleges and universities together:

Wallet hub is where you get your definitive sources? You think Dartmouth is better than MIT? W&L is better than Amherst and Pomona. Be for real. You found a ranking where you could spread this bs.

Maybe if you are in Atlanta but not in the rest of the world. Emory doesn't have more recognition than the top SLACs. Neither group has much recognition with the general public. That is fine and to be expected since since school knowledge for the vast majority of the public comes from watching sports. Both Emory and Williams are great schools; this thread is one of the most inane threads that I have read in a long time.

Anonymous wrote:Emory is one of the new ivy colleges
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Emory has research, shadow, and internship opportunities that Williams doesn't have. The campus includes the medical school, a massive academic hospital, the CDC, school Of public health, primate research lab, and, of course, all the undergrad professors' labs.
Williams is small and academic, but you don't have the spider web of opportunities that will be available in Emory's universe.
And all of the above explains why Williams graduates get into better medical schools.
Lol
Very easy to do when theres only 13 graduates.

And Emory sends to Emory and unc, while willaims sends to Harvard, upenn, and yale.
