Does anyone think there's a chance that the Viers Mill area will gentrify over time because of being zoned to Woodward? Maybe not everyone is eyeballing FARMS rates so closely, and the catch of being zoned to a brand new high school located in North Bethesda with plenty of students coming from Bethesda will fuel the perception that Woodward is just another "W" school, and perhaps real estate in the Viers Mill area will start to reflect that. I heard that the areas of Silver Spring zoned to BCC gentrified a lot because they are zoned to BCC, so I'm wondering if we'll see something similar happen to real estate in DCC areas moving to Woodward.
It’s already happened. Look at the difference between Randolph Hills and Holiday Park just based on “North Bethesda” versus a Silver Spring mailing address. We’ve been in the VM boundary for over 10 years and the neighborhoods have changed a lot. Original owners die and get replaced by DINKs or young couples who move once they have kids for bigger houses if they stay int eh area or to a different area completely for a lower cost of living.
