Right now, it already takes forever to see a specialist. And cost-cutting is everywhere. I broke my foot, and I the only doctor I've seen in person was at urgent care. My initial follow up with the podiatrist was virtual, and now my 6w follow up is also virtual. They had me get an xray on my own. There will be no physical exam. I know enough to know what kinds of questions to ask and where to point out pain/bruising, but they really should do a physical exam. I am also checking with AI what I should be sure to ask about.

AI is only going to put more pressure on doctors to see more patients faster. And patients will rely more on AI to ask about symptoms, because doctors will be even more rushed and less available. Important stuff will get missed, and any personal element that's been left in healthcare will be diminished completely.[/quote]
