Toddlers and babies and bratty k-2 children, sure. But a polite 11 year old? That's just petty and rude. A man should think twice about marrying a woman who is hostile to children at weddings. And yeah it's mostly brides insisting on this exclusion.[/quote] The bride probably has a not-polite niece or nephew whose parents would blow a gasket if they saw that this kid was present, so it's safer to exclude ALL kids regardless of maturity.
